The Private Housing Scheme (PHS) wing of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently conducted a large-scale operation, targeting 12 illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions. Spearheaded by Deputy Director Ali Sikho, the operation received significant support from a substantial contingent of police and LDA staff on Raiwind Road.
During the operation, the team decisively took action by demolishing the roads and sewerage systems of the illegal land subdivisions. The affected areas included the land subdivisions located near a public school, a mill, and the backside of Dream Housing Scheme on Raiwind Road, as well as Almadina Town, Ali Park, and Hammad Garden.
In addition to the demolitions, the team also took further measures by sealing the offices of the land subdivisions near a marriage hall on Raiwind Road, as well as those of Gulberg Town, Azan Park, Ahad Homes, and Royal City. These actions were part of the authorities’ ongoing efforts to combat illegal housing schemes and ensure strict adherence to regulations and laws concerning land development.
By demolishing the infrastructure of these unauthorized schemes, the authorities aim to prevent any further unauthorized construction and safeguard the interests of the public. Such proactive measures demonstrate the commitment of the Lahore Development Authority to enforce legal standards and maintain the integrity of planned urban development in the area.
