Kim Yo-jong, a top foreign policy official and the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, has launched personal attacks against US President Joe Biden and warned that North Korea will conduct more military displays in response to the US-South Korean deal to intensify nuclear deterrence.
She accused the US of “extreme” hostility toward Pyongyang and vowed to enhance the country’s nuclear arms capabilities, particularly its “second mission of the nuclear war deterrent.” Kim described Biden as “too miscalculating and irresponsibly brave” and called him “senile.
” She also criticized the US-South Korean deal, saying it reflected the allies’ “most hostile and aggressive will of action” against North Korea and would push regional peace and security into “more serious danger.” Nuclear talks between Washington and Pyongyang have been stalled since 2019 due to disagreements over the release of US-led sanctions against North Korea and its nuclear weapons program.
