A renowned baloch activist Dr. Mahrang’s troubles have deepened as a case has been registered against her in Karachi. The case was filed at the Quaidabad Police Station in District Malir, on the complaint of a resident of Sherpao Colony named Asad Ali.
According to media reports, the case was registered under charges of incitement, sedition, and several provisions, including Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. The text of the case alleges that Dr. Mahrang Baloch and her associates are facilitators of terrorist organizations. It further accuses them of influencing educated youth in Balochistan.
The case claims that Mahrang Baloch and her associates lure educated men and women, offer them shelter at undisclosed locations, and then engage in defamation and serious threats against security institutions. They are also accused of attempting to discredit these institutions in the courts of justice.
The complaint suggests that individuals involved in such activities are in close contact with hostile elements from neighboring India and receive funding and instructions from them. It alleges that, under their directives, protests are regularly held in various cities and highways across the country.
The case also accuses them of specifically trying to prevent non-Baloch individuals from entering Balochistan. It claims that workers traveling to Balochistan from other areas are killed, with the blame being shifted onto the state in an effort to create chaos in the country.
Additionally, the complaint asserts that Mah Rang Baloch has brought terrorists to cities under the guise of rallies, enabling them to surveil sensitive locations. According to the complainant, Dr. Mahrang Baloch actively facilitates terrorists from banned organizations.
