Ali Zafar, a well-known singer and actor, has dismissed rumors circulating on social media about his joining a political party.
Speculation arose after an image of him wearing a hoodie with a political slogan and the election symbols of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) – a bat and a lion respectively – emerged.
Many social media users shared the picture, alleging that Ali Zafar had joined PML-N. However, he clarified on Twitter that he wore a red jacket at a concert in Toronto, and the much-talked-about image was from a brand called “Raasta,” which uses local symbols and phrases for aesthetic purposes.

He also said that he wore the hoodie casually as a gift from someone, and in the future, he will wear a vest carefully. He expressed his disappointment with people politicizing everything without verification and claimed that election symbols of other political parties were also inscribed on the hoodie.
