Born Conor Angus Cloud Hickey on July 10, 1998, in Oakland, Angus attended the Oakland School for the Arts. A profile in The Wall Street Journal from 2019 revealed that he had been actively involved in his high school’s theater department, where he worked on sets, lighting, and sound. Prior to landing his role in “Euphoria,” Angus had never pursued acting.
In a serendipitous turn of events, Angus was discovered in 2018 by a casting agent while walking along Mercer Street in Greenwich Village. At the time, he was working as a waiter in Brooklyn and initially thought the approach was a scam. However, with the encouragement of a friend, he decided to give it a chance.
