Taking step towards modernising, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced the Pak-ID mobile application, enabling citizens to apply for their CNIC and other identification documents seamlessly from the convenience of their mobile phones.
This initiative was launched earlier this year to provide hassle-free services and reduce the need for physical visits to NADRA offices.
The Pak-ID mobile app, available on both Android and iOS platforms, offers a user-friendly interface that simplifies the application process. Citizens can now avoid long queues and paperwork, saving valuable time and effort.
To apply for a CNIC using the Pak-ID app, citizens need to follow these simple steps:
- Download Pak-ID App: Visit the Play Store or Apple Store and download the Pak-ID app for Android and iOS devices.
- Fill Application Sections: Upon opening the app, users are guided through the application process, providing all the necessary information as per the given instructions.
- Upload Required Documents: Applicants can easily upload all the required documents directly through the app, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Fresh Photo Upload: Users must provide a recent photograph of themselves, meeting the official specifications.
- Create Digital Signature: Completing the application process requires the creation of a digital signature, adding an extra layer of security.
- Submit Fingerprints: As part of the authentication process, applicants are required to submit their fingerprints through the app.
- Online Payment: The app allows online payment for the application fee using various methods, including debit/credit cards and other supported payment options.
- Home Delivery Option: Once the application process is completed, applicants can choose the home delivery option, eliminating the need to visit NADRA offices.
