RAWALPINDI- In a recent development, Major (Retired) Adil Farooq Raja and Captain (Retired) Haider Raza Mehdi, both former officers of the Pakistan Army, have been found guilty and sentenced through a Field General Court Martial (FGCM).
The charges against them include inciting sedition among army personnel, dereliction of duties, and violating the provisions of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, related to espionage and actions against the safety and interest of the State.

The convictions were pronounced by a court of competent jurisdiction on the 7th and 9th of October 2023, following a thorough judicial process. The sentences handed down are as follows:
- Major (Retired) Adil Farooq Raja: 14 years of rigorous imprisonment.
- Captain (Retired) Haider Raza Mehdi: 12 years of rigorous imprisonment.
Additionally, as of November 21, 2023, both officers have had their ranks forfeited in accordance with the awarded sentences.
Both are currently living in abroad from where they were interacting with public through social media.
