Survivors Group ‘Grateful Another Abuser Has Been Unmasked’ Amid New Allegations Against Salah al-Fayed
A survivors’ group advocating for women allegedly assaulted by the late billionaire Mohamed al Fayed has voiced gratitude following new allegations implicating his brother, Salah al Fayed, in similar abuses. Justice for Harrods Survivors, which represents women who claim they were sexually abused at Harrods or on Fayed properties, released a statement confirming it has “credible evidence” that the abuse wasn’t limited to Mohamed al Fayed alone.
New Allegations Emerge Against Salah al-Fayed
This statement comes as three women have stepped forward to BBC News, alleging sexual assaults by Salah al Fayed. One woman, identified as Helen, has waived her anonymity, sharing that she initially sought a transfer to work for Salah as a means of escaping alleged abuse from Mohamed al Fayed. She claims that while employed at Salah’s Park Lane residence, she was drugged and assaulted. Two additional women allege that they were taken to locations in Monaco and the South of France, where Salah al Fayed sexually abused them.
Survivors Group Vows Continued Support for Victims
Justice for Harrods Survivors responded publicly, expressing pride in supporting those who survived Salah Fayed’s alleged abuse and vowing commitment to achieving justice for the survivors “no matter what it takes.” The group also emphasized that it possesses credible evidence against other potential perpetrators and facilitators of abuse within the Fayed circle, stating that it “looks forward to the others…being exposed in due course.”
Harrods Encourages Victims to Seek Compensation and Support
In light of the emerging allegations, Harrods has stated support for the women coming forward, commending their bravery and encouraging survivors to submit claims to the Harrods scheme. Through this initiative, they can pursue compensation and receive counseling support and advocacy.
Notable Accusations Against Mohamed al Fayed Include Former Harrods Employee Bianca Gascoigne
Justice for Harrods Survivors has indicated that over 420 people have contacted them with allegations against Mohamed al Fayed, who passed away last year. One such individual is Bianca Gascoigne, daughter of former England footballer Paul Gascoigne. Gascoigne, in an interview with Sky News, recounted how she was allegedly groomed and assaulted by Mohamed al Fayed while working as a teenager at Harrods.
