Dubai Police in the United Arab Emirates demonstrated compassion by organizing a wedding ceremony for the daughter of an incarcerated individual.
As reported by Al-Emirates Al-Youm, a young Arab woman approached Dubai Police, expressing that her engagement had been finalized, and her father was currently in jail. She requested permission for the marriage ceremony to take place within the confines of the prison in the presence of her father.
Instructions from Dubai Police Assistant Commander General Major General Khalil Al Mansoori paved the way for the nikah ceremony to be held within the jail premises. Marwan Jalfar, the director of the Dubai Prisons Department, shared that upon receiving the girl’s application, the department granted approval, taking into consideration her father’s financial and mental well-being.
In addition to providing a venue for the marriage, the department went a step further by assisting in furnishing the bride’s house. This initiative aimed to ensure that she could lead a content and joyful life, minimizing any adverse impact caused by her father’s incarceration.
