A Portuguese tourist killed in a traffic accident on Thursday in Dalbandin Tehsil of Chagai District, Balochistan.
According to the details garnered, a tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a Portuguese tourist. The incident took place on the Pak-Iran highway, near Talo and Bara Tagzi Landhi, shortly after the tourist had crossed the border into Pakistan from Iran.
The unfortunate collision involved the Portuguese tourist’s motorcycle and a pick-up truck traveling in the opposite direction. Regrettably, the tourist succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while two individuals in the pick-up truck suffered serious injuries. All the victims were promptly transported to Prince Fahad Hospital for medical attention.
In response to the incident, Deputy Commissioner Chagai, Hussain Jan Baloch, has informed the Portuguese embassy about the tragedy to facilitate the repatriation of the tourist’s body. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident to determine the circumstances that led to this unfortunate event.
The 28-year-old tourist used to write about his journey on Instagram. His last social media post was a picture taken against the backdrop of a desert in Iran.
His March 28 post says that he would take 85,000km of the journey in the next two years and travel around 50 countries. He started the first leg of his journey from Portugal on May 21. He arrived in Pakistan via Turkey and Iran via various European countries. His next destination was India, but his journey in Balochistan turned out to be the last journey of his life.

One thing led to another and I am now embarking on the biggest adventure of my life – a solo motorcycle trip around the world for +2 years,” says his website titled Mission Plug.
