A disturbing incident of assault during a trail run involving a girl has come to light. However, it has been revealed that the alleged rape story was false, and instead, it turned out to be a dispute between the accused and his accomplice.
The accused, Nauman, had enlisted the help of a group, which included Saima, posing as a fake journalist named Dr. Sidra Ismail, Shaqeel, another fake journalist, and a person named Manzoor, to seek revenge on his associate, Anwar. Anwar had falsely accused Nauman of committing the assault.
As part of their plan, Sidra was meant to accompany the accused on the trail run. During the run, she was supposed to stage a drama of being assaulted, while the rest of the group recorded videos of the act.
The intention behind this scheme was to use the recorded videos to blackmail the accused and his family and extort money from them. Sidra met with the accused for the trail run, but his accomplices did not show up as planned. After waiting for some time, Sidra returned to Rawalpindi with the accused.
Subsequently, she filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the police station and returned to Sheikhpura. The police carried out a comprehensive investigation from all angles.
During her summons to the police station, Sidra disclosed all the facts and details of the plan in front of the magistrate. This group has been involved in deceiving people and extorting money through blackmail.
Both Sheikhpura and Muridke police have filed two separate cases against Sidra and Anwar. Anwar’s accomplice, Anwar-ul-Haq, has a previous record in this case. The case attracted significant attention on social media during the investigation process.
The public is strongly urged not to believe in rumors until the final police report is released. Such misleading campaigns can negatively impact the police investigation and benefit the criminals. The Capital Police of Islamabad holds the responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of the citizens’ lives and property.
