Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil company, has inaugurated its first fuel station in Pakistan in collaboration with Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO) on Tuesday. The station was launched in Lahore, the capital of Punjab. This development follows Aramco’s recent acquisition of a 40% stake in GO Petroleum, finalized a month ago.
The first Aramco-branded fuel station is located on Noor Jehan Road in Lahore’s Gulberg commercial area. The opening ceremony saw the participation of staff from both companies as well as local attendees.
Aramco, known globally for its energy and chemical operations, aims to provide high-quality fuel in Pakistan through its partnership with GO. GO Petroleum, which operates a network of over 1,200 fuel stations across Pakistan, is a significant player in the country’s fuel industry. Under the agreement, Aramco-branded stations will offer Pro-Force premium fuel, high-quality Valvoline lubricants, professional automotive services, and modern convenience stores under the Express Care model.
Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Products and Customers, Yasser M. Mufti, described the launch of the first fuel station in Pakistan as a milestone. He emphasized that Pakistan is a market with great growth potential, aligning with Aramco’s values of excellence, innovation, and community partnership. Mufti also assured customers that Aramco’s extensive global refinery system will ensure a reliable supply of petroleum products.
GO Petroleum’s CEO, Khalid Riaz, highlighted that the station reflects the company’s commitment to delivering top-tier performance. He expressed confidence that the collaboration with Aramco will raise fuel standards, enhance services, and improve customer satisfaction.
Both companies reiterated their intention to expand Aramco-branded stations across GO’s network. This partnership comes amid growing economic and trade cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with Saudi Arabia also committing to fast-track a $5 billion investment package for Pakistan this year.
