This issue occurred on Bahar Shah Road near the airport in Lahore. The citizen first detected a gas leak and immediately reported it to the company’s helpline. Each time, they were assured that a team would fix the issue, but no real progress was made.
Later, the company informed them that the old iron pipeline in the area would be replaced with a plastic one. This process took a month, and during this period, the citizen continued receiving gas bills, which they paid despite not having access to gas.
Fifteen days after the new plastic pipeline was installed, the company restored connections for other houses in the area, but the citizen’s connection was still delayed.
Additional Challenges
The company’s team informed the citizen that they would need to remove some stairs at their home to facilitate the reconnection. The citizen complied and removed the stairs promptly, but the connection was still not restored.
Several days later, the team dug up the area and repaired the pipeline. However, they claimed that a separate team was responsible for installing the gas meter, which would arrive the next day.
Now, ten more days have passed, but the meter installation team has still not shown up.
Citizen’s Appeal
The citizen stated that they have been deprived of a basic utility like gas for six months. Despite repeated complaints, the company has not addressed the issue. The citizen has urged the company’s MD and relevant authorities to take immediate action and restore their gas connection.
